History...

With the exception of Todd and Matt, Ace Decade’s members all met each other during their high school years in the mid '90's. Tim, Todd and Van first starting making up musical ideas in late '97- early '98, just for fun. However, Todd, Van, and Louis had ideas to form a band during their high school times at Dieruff High School in Allentown, Pa. With the addition of Tim, the four starting working together, and officially dubbed themselves Ace Decade. With Todd and Tim switching off and on between guitar and drums, the band hoped that their unorthodox ways would work. The band's first ever showing included the foursome at the Club Carrigan in Whitehall, Pa, on December 12, 1998. Unfortunately, the band's lack of practicing and material led to a dull performance. The only highlight of the set was the band's rendition of Korn's "Blind". This inspired the band to stick to covers rather than making original music. However, the band's flip-flop drumming was beginning to show the band's true weakness: a solid drummer. Todd decided to take action and gave his good friend Matt a call. He knew that Matt had been drumming since the two knew each other in fourth grade. After seeing the video of the band's first performance during a new-year's eve get together (98-99), Matt agreed to share a practice session with the band. In February of '99, the solid lineup of Ace Decade formed after that first get-together. The band has been regularly practicing since February of '99, and continues to practice and perform as time permits.
