Born and raised in the city of Allentown, Todd has lived on the East Side of the city all of his life. His good friend and band mate Matt Yarema showed him some drumming fundamentals, which inspired his musical ideas. When Todd's cousin, Mike Schaarschmidt, picked up the guitar, Todd did so as well, and has been playing self-taught since 1996. He cites four guitarists as biggest inspiration: "Dimebag" Darrell Abbot (Pantera), James Hetfield (Metallica), Eddie Van Halen (Van Halen), and Stevie Ray Vaughan. Todd graduated from Dieruff High School (1998), and Lafayette College (2002), where he majored in civil engineering. Todd's equipment consists of Fender and Ibanez guitars, Fender amps, and Boss and Morley effects.
